What is Poska-Eller joint study programme?
The joint study programme of Tartu Jaan Poska Gymnasium (Poska Gymnasium) and Heino Eller Tartu Music College (Eller College) enables students to simultaneously acquire full general secondary education and vocational education in music as well as receive separate graduation certificates from both schools upon graduation.
Following the entrance examinations at both schools, successful candidates enrol in the Eller-Poska joint study programme at Poska Gymnasium. Students in this programme study general education subjects at Poska Gymnasium and speciality-related vocational training subjects at Eller College. Joint programme students are not required to complete all upper secondary school courses at Poska Gymnasium; instead, the results of vocational training courses completed at Eller College are taken into account. In turn, the courses completed at Poska Gymnasium count towards the elective courses prescribed in the Eller College curriculum. Where possible, a separate timetable is drawn up for the students of the joint programme to facilitate optimal integration of studies between the two schools.
To enrol in the joint study programme, the student must:

register for the joint entrance examinations of Tartu upper secondary schools via the information system;

take the joint entrance examinations of Tartu upper secondary schools;

submit an application for admission to Heino Eller Tartu Music College in SAIS;

take the entrance examinations in the specific speciality and solfeggio at Heino Eller Tartu Music College;

confirm their study place in SAIS.
