Wind orchestra,

Eller Brass

The wind orchestra primarily serves as an educational orchestra, providing a platform for aspiring wind orchestra conductors to practise working with an orchestra.

However, the wind orchestra has also functioned as a concert group, having performed even the complex works by Stravinsky and Richard Strauss.

Eller Brass commenced its activities in 2000 as a brass quintet under the guidance of teacher Priit Sonn.
Since 2005, Eller Brass has also been operating as a brass orchestra, involving nearly all wind instrument students.

The orchestra has performed at events such as Võru Brass Music Days, Suure-Jaani Trumpet Days, EAMT International Trumpet Days, and more. The young musicians of Eller Brass also participate in the work of the Estonian Youth Brass and the South Estonian Youth Wind Orchestra.

The orchestras are conducted by Priit Sonn and Mihkel Kallip.
